Home Maintenance To-Do List

Mar 24, 2014

Glazed Kitchen CabinetsIt’s been a busy year so far. Once November hit and the preparations for Thanksgiving began, you’ve hardly had time to slow down until now. Now that all of the cooking, cleaning, and guest entertaining is over for a little while, take some time to spiff up your home. There are several things that need attention in your house to keep it looking great and offering your family a healthy living space. Three Brothers is going to help you keep up with your home maintenance.

1. Clean the Air Filter

This is a task that should be completed at least once very 30-60 days. Changing out your air filter regularly helps to ensure that the air circulating throughout your home is clean and free of dust and other allergens.

2. Clean and Degrease Your Kitchen Cabinets

After all of those big meals you’ve prepared, your kitchen cabinets probably need a good cleaning and degreasing. Be sure that the cleanser that you use is safe for the finish on your cabinets – whether wood or paint. If you get into those nooks and crannies and realize that your cabinets just aren’t going to be up to par even after a good cleaning, you might consider getting them freshly painted.

3. Clean Your Trim

After all of the children and family pets have come and gone throughout the holidays, the baseboards and door facings around your home have probably taken a beating. Try cleaning with a soft rag and gentle cleanser so you don’t take the paint off. But, if you decide that the current paint finish just can’t be saved, call Three Brothers for a quote on repainting the trim in your home.
